Fairfax Media NZ has won the Best Feature/Supplement/Native Advertising in the National/Metropolitan category at the PANPA Advertising and Marketing Awards last week.
The award was for the creative Valspar Paint Match campaign which ran in Sunday Magazine and Sunday Star-Times.
Fairfax Media NZ Group Sales Director, Gareth Codd, says “The campaign’s objective was to launch Valspar as a new paint brand into the New Zealand market. It was an exciting challenge for our custom solutions team that they were able to get creative with.
“Valspar’s ‘Paint Match’ concept was woven throughout Sunday Magazine, featuring colour swatches alongside editorial feature photography. The collaboration with our editorial team made the campaign less intrusive yet more relevant for readers.”
FCB Media’s Media Manager, Ellen Yan, says “The Sunday magazine integration demonstrated innovation, in line with Valspar’s brand proposition as the ‘future of paint’, and introduced Valspar in a fresh new way using a channel that can be a category battleground.”
Gareth says: “This was a really successful collaboration between Fairfax Media and FCB to gain the best and most exciting outcome for the client. A big congratulations to the team behind this winning campaign.”
